Some points of interest:
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has announced two new policies designed to help during this crisis. In order to reduce the need for on-site appraisers, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are easing the criteria needed for appraisal and employment verification requirements through May 17. The FHFA will also allow lenders the option of obtaining verification of employment via email, year-to-date pay stub, or bank statement showing a recent payroll deposit.

The IRS has extended the tax-filing date from April 15 to July 15 for 2020. Louisiana has also joined the IRS in pushing back the state tax deadline to July 15.
